General Information

Division of Social Sciences aim to educate students who already have or goaled to have a career in the criminal justice system and/or raise academic scholars in the field of forensic social sciences by conveying the actual theoritical knowledge and practice. The Division of Social Sciences consists of 2 Associate Professors, 2 Assistant Professors and 1 Research Assistant. This comprehensive program incorporates a unique curriculum of 21 courses in Master’s Program and 14 courses in PhD Program.

Research Fields

Post Graduate and Doctoral Students have to prepare an original dissertation to accomplish their programs. The general concepts and issues in Criminal Justice System, the process of Criminal Justice System, Juvenile Justice System, Forensic Psychology, Crimonology, Victimology and current theories on criminal and victim studies are the main subjects studied in this division.

Who may apply?

Besides Faculty of Law graduates, graduates from faculties of Social Sciences (Psychology, Psychological Counseling and Guidance, Social Services Workers, Sociology, Philosophy, Social Anthropology etc.) and Police Academy and Security Sciences Faculty may apply to our post graduate and doctoral programs.

Career Opportunities in Forensic Science for Graduates

Our graduates may choose to have a career in Criminal Justice Systems worldwide (Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Interiors etc.) as an expert and in universities for an academic career.
